Feeding You, Feeding Your Child

5 10 2008

There was a great article in the New York Times earlier this week on how you really can feed your baby what you and your family eat instead of purchasing all of baby’s food separately in jars and packages.  I love the quote from one of the members of the APA’s Committee on Nutrition because it’s the same thing I’ve said defending my continued consumption of spicy food throughout pregnancy and breastfeeding:  “This is how you teach your baby to develop likes similar to yours,” he said. “Otherwise, how would an Indian child eat curry or a Mexican child consume salsa?”
